Increasingly, I have been commissioned to produce work from diverse starting points, such as the historical plaques. The research involved meeting and reminiscing with some very old people and uncovering lots of fascinating material. I was personally enriched by this, but more importantly able to give back to the local community a celebration of its own heritage.

Equally important has been my recent work with Artists from other disciplines. This is a very positive aspect of my work, which I am now exploring and developing. There are so many exciting possibilities to braid the arts to create new ways of expression, which reflect our lives now, resonate with the past, and influence the future in a positive way.

At the moment, however, my main focus is on exploring some of my favourite themes and making lively new work for my forthcoming show in 2008.
