The first aeroplane flight I had taken in ages inspired me to produce this Landscape plate. The colouring is stylised, painted in underglaze colours, depicting the pattern of the fields like a living tapestry below. The view is seen against the background of the glazes I use in 'Celestial Patterns' which remind me of deep space. The idea is that this is a view through a small portal from space. It is fired to Stoneware Temperature.
