I have been making Flasks for centuries now. They have the value being flat so as to be able to stand easily on a shelf and having the large circular disc shape to apply the decoration. This one has a wave form in low-relief in the surface which is echoed by the handles which flow onto either face. It is fired to Earthenware Temperature.
